Reposted with permission from paddies:As you all know I'm not Queer Eyes' webmistress anymore (and I don't follow fandom stuff since QaF ended) but I know some of you are still very much into it, so maybe there's someone out there willing to help... The lovely mwil298 - which is the actual Queer Eyes' webmistress just sent me this email:Hi Gio, My server fees are due in 27 days and I don't have it to pay it. I'm out of work right now, was laid off. Right now I don't have grocery money let alone extra for anything else. I've put a donation button on the queer eyes site asking for help from everyone that loves the site to help cover the fees along with a list of how much is needed for however many months. I hate to ask for donations but I really don't want to lose all my work and all of your work because if it gets closed then everything will be deleted. Could you possibly help spread the word about the situation? Any help would be greatly appreciated. So, I did spread the word... if there's someone willing to help keeping the website alive, please contact mwil298!Thank you soooo much and happy holidays! ♥ Can you help? This is an archive that we cannot afford to lose! This is where a lot of us got our first icons (and the one I'm using got me infamously suspended from LJ, as many of you may recall), mood theme, and the best fics in fandom. The note was simple: Meet me at Ruth’s Chris Steak House, 7pm. All Emmett knew was that it had the best Zagat ratings in town, and that he should dress a little less…Emmett-like. He didn’t usually do blind dates, but something about this sounded…familiar. He arrived and was escorted to a table in the private dining section. He was thankful for this, as the restaurant was quite busy. The table boasted a tasteful centerpiece, three white taper candles burning brightly. “Thanks for meeting me,” a voice came from behind him. Emmett turned, surprised. “Drew.” “Wanna help me celebrate my twenty-first?” |
